Your wedding is unlike any other special event in your life. It is the beginning of a partnership with the promise of a love that does not hold back, witnessed by the most important people in your life. A wedding invitation is the first detail that you present to your friends and family to build anticipation for a day that is uniquely yours. Together, we can create a suite that represents the important aspects of your big day and creates excitement for your upcoming celebration.

The custom process allows for collaboration, working to ensure that all important details are considered and your vision can come to life. At Hazel Street Press, we do all of the designing and printing in house so that we are able to tailor each suite to the needs of our clients. In order to create a high quality result that meets your needs, we budget a minimum of EIGHT WEEKS of time for design, edits, printing and shipping


The design process begins by getting to know you and your partner’s story, dreams for your wedding and vision for your invitations. This process is truly collaborative, so we work to incorporate your vision into the aesthetic that can be most successfully achieved by our design and printing process. If your design ideas are drastically different, we may be able to point you in the direction of a different designer.

Design Process

Hazel Street Press offers a wide variety of products that can be customized to include your unique details. Some may be added after our initial consult, but we like to start out with an idea of the pieces you are hoping to incorporate in your suite. We also discuss the materials that you hope for your suite to be created with, whether that includes handmade paper or a heavy cotton blend, and the method by which you hope to have it printed, either digital printing or letterpress. After our initial consult where we share our ideas, you will receive a basic sketch to ensure that we are on the same page. From here, you will have two additional opportunities to edit the suite details without any additional charge. In order to remain within the timeline, it is important that we are both committed to prompt responses.

Due to the nature of our custom process, pricing is different for each couple that we work with. We can provide an idea of our starting prices, but a final quote will not be available until we have our agreed upon plan for desired products. Prices are subject to slight changes as the price of the products that we use to complete your suite are out of our control. Any price change must be first approved by you, occasionally requiring an updated contract. Again, this highlights the importance of prompt communication to remain within our timeline.
